SMEG Hobs
ROCKER TOUCH CONTROLS - The smooth clean lines
of the Rocker touch control ceramic hobs ensure that
they complement any stainless steel kitchen appliances, and
the design of the controls is exclusive to Smeg. Each hobs
cooking zone has its own display, clearly showing the
power level set (from 1 to 9), and when the cooking
is finished any residual heat is indicated. Where hobs
include individual timers, the cooking countdown time
is shown immediately above the zone control. A child
safe system activates after approximately 30 seconds
of cooking time to lock the cooking level set, so that
it cannot be changed inadvertently.

HOBS CLASSIC CONTROLS
- As a final touch stainless steel controls in the
Classic hobs design to the front of an all glass angled
edge ceramic hob. This model ensures that the many
ovens in the Classic hobs section can also be matched exactly,
and the extremely low profile of the all glass angled
edge gives a virtually flat surface.
PRACTICAL CLEAN LINES
- The new low profile polished stainless steel hobs surround
and the angled edge glass provide elegant and practical
working surfaces, which are extremely easy to clean.
The simple sleek lines of the designs blend well with
other appliances in the Smeg portfolio. All the hobs are
produced using 'High-Trans' ceramic glass, which is
particularly good for rapid heating and guarantees
better protection against extra high temperatures
and mechanical shocks.

SMEG HOBS EVOLUTION CONTROLS
- These Smeg hobs retain the slim stainless steel surround
of the ROCKER TOUCH CONTROL models, but have controls
in the Evolution style, to provide a perfect match for
ovens from the Piano Design and Evolution sections. Power
levels can be set between 1 and 6, and the zones are extremely
versatile, ranging from a low 0.8kW for slow sauces, to
super zones of 2.4 kW for fast cooking.
SMEG INDUCTION HOBS - The
new Smeg induction hobs enable professional cooking to
be undertaken on a ceramic surface. With this innovative
new system only pans with magnetic bases are used,
and the power is induced directly hough the base of
the pan where if meets the magnetic hob cooking zone.
The hobs surface itself is not heated, and only picks
up residual heat from the pan base, so cleaning is
much easier and the hob surface remains hygienically
clean. The quick reaction of the cooking zones and
the increased safety of the cooking system make induction
hobs a superb choice for professional cooking with
energy consumption reduced to a minimum.
EXTRA WIDE SMEG HOBS
The latest addition to the Smeg ceramic hobs range is an
all glass 90cm hob with front touch controls.
There are 3 circular cooking zones, 2 of them
dual zones, and a versatile oblong dual central
zone ideal for large pans or a fish kettle. At
the rear right hand side of the hob there is a
generous rectangular warming zone.

TOUCH CONTROLS - A selection of all Smeg
glass ceramic hobs with angled edges have touch controls
along the front edge to maximise the cooking area, and
they are extremely versatile since they complement any
kitchen design. Cooking zones have individual displays
to show the power level set (from 1 to 9) and any residual
heat after use. Most all glass models have individual
timers for each zone.
DUAL COOKING ZONES
- The majority of the new Smeg hobs offer dual cooking
zones, either circular or oval, adding extra versatility
to the specification, and optimum choice for the serious
cook. The zones vary from the lowest output at only
0.8 kW up to the super zones with an output of 2.4
kW, which can be found in both the circular and oval
shape.
