ELECTROLUX KITCHEN APLIANCES
HOBS ELECTRIC AND GAS |
With today's busy lifestyles, cooking methods
are changing and in particular, meals that can be cooked using only
the hob, are becoming increasingly popular. Choosing the right hob
to suit your kitchen and the way you want to cook is therefore very
important. Electrolux now offers a wider choice of hobs than ever.Gas
hobs have long been used by professional chefs because of their
rapid response and controllability. The Electrolux range of gas
hobs includes traditional hobs, gas on glass models and even a five
burner hob which includes a powerful triple burner and wok support
- ideal for stir fry! All our gas hobs have mains powered ignition
for easy lighting and some models include thermocouples which ensure
that the gas is cut off, if the flame is accidentally blown out.
ELECTROLUX Thermocouple for additional
safety
Our solid plate electric hobs all include two "red dot"
zones that heat up faster which are ideal when time is tight.
Many of the ceramic hobs also include faster zones, as well as double
and triple zones to match the size of your pans. We understand that
whilst speed of cooking is important, you will also appreciate other
features that make your life easier. Many of our ceramic hobs include
sleek touch controls, quite literally giving you finger tip control,
and a 99 minute timer, which stops you having to keep checking the
clock. Two models (EHS6651P &. EHS6691X) include a "set
and forget" function that will bring the pan to the boil and
then turn it down to the selected setting, so you don't have to
stand over the pan.
We know that however careful a cook you are, your hob is bound to
suffer some splashes during cooking. So we have designed all our
hobs to make them as easy as possible to clean. Most of our gas
and solid plate electric hobs are made of a smooth one piece pressing
which means there are no tight corners or dirt traps. The gas on
glass and ceramic hobs have easy clean glass surfaces which are
easily wiped over.
Electric Hobs
Safety in Mind
Safety is always an important consideration in a busy family kitchen
so we have designed in features with this in mind. Our traditional
gas hobs have pan supports which allow you to slide pans rather
than lifting them off the heat. The electric solid plate hobs have
a power on indicator and all our ceramic hobs include residual heat
indicators. All of our touch control ceramic hobs also include a
child lock that prevents inquisitive fingers turning the hob on,
or adjusting the setting, and an auto cut off should you accidentally
leave a zone on when you've finished cooking.
ELECTROLUX Induction Hobs
If you want the ultimate in precision cooking then one
of our induction hobs is for you. Induction hobs work by a wire
coil in the hob creating a magnetic field. When this field comes
into contact with a material which can be magnetised, such as steel,
enamel steel or cast iron pans, the contents of the pan heat up.
The benefits to you are speed and precision as the heat is distributed
quickly and evenly throughout the pan. Induction hobs also add another
level of safety to your kitchen because, even though the glass will
retain some of the heat from the pan, it is much cooler that any
other type of hob. This means induction hobs are easier to clean
too as any splashes are far less likely to cook on to the glass
and can be wiped away with a damp cloth.
