Dedietrich Ovens FAN COOKING -Fan cooking offers even cooking as the heat generated by the element at the back of the Dedietrich Ovens is circulated throughout the oven cavity by the fan. This function also allows simultaneous cooking on three levels, without having to rotate the shelves or worry about the mixing of flavours.
COMBINED COOKING - Dedietrich Ovens offer a clever combination of the three Multifunction oven elements: the back element behind the fan, the lower element and the top element are on simultaneously. Since most of the heat is coming from the lower part of the oven, this system is ideal for cooking dishes with a pastry base, i.e., fruit pies, quiches, tarts and pizzas, the result will be a dry, crisp pastry base, an evenly cooked filling (thanks to the fan) and a perfectly brown top.
SINGLE GRILL AND DOUBLE GRILL - The Dedietrich Ovens grill, used either as a single or a double grill, is one of the best performers on the market, with a power of 2650 W (double grill position). The double grill is recommended for grilling large numbers of items since it covers the whole surface of the grill evenly. The single grill gives the same cooking results over a smaller surface, while being energy efficient.
TURBO GRILL - The Dedietrich Ovens turbo grill is ideal for sealing and grilling meat at the same time, resulting in crisp yet tender meat. The heat of the double grill is drawn in by the fan, which recirculates it around the food. This function is used for the rotisserie
CONVENTIONAL - Dedietrich Ovens heat is produced by the grill and bottom elements. The top of the oven will be hotter, Ideal for slow cooking of stews, casseroles and baked puddings.
DEFROST - This Dedietrich Ovens function accelerates defrosting and gives more even results than a microwave. Depending on the model the fan either circulates ambient air or warm air around the food. On multifunction plus Dedietrich Ovens the defrost temperature ranges from 30°C- 50°C .
KEEP WARM - The Dedietrich Ovens keep warm function is recommended for defrosting foods, keeping foods warm and rising dough [under 40°C]. The base and upper elements cycle on and off at a controlled temperature and the fan circulates warm air.
CONVENTIONAL ECO- This is an energy saving programme that can save up to 20% compared with conventional cooking. The energy saving is achieved by the Dedietrich Ovens not requiring preheating so cooking times may be slightly longer and the temperature may slightly fluctuate. Ideal for non heat sensitive foods like stews, casseroles, pot roasting etc. Heat is produced by the grill and base elements
BASE ELEMENT + FAN - This Dedietrich Ovens function is ideal for foods that need a crisp base such as pies, tarts, pizzas or for foods that need cooking from the base as well as raising the mixture such as yeast dough’s. The base element and fan operate [as well as the top element intermittently]
BASE ELEMENT - This function is ideal for warming and crisping through already cooked pastry like quiches, tarts and for cooking small foods like biscuits, vol au vents etc, Not only does the base element operate but also the top element intermittently.
