SMEG DISHWASHERS EXTRA HEIGHT
The new 86cm height Smeg dishwashers offer the versatility of fitting larger diameter plates in the lower basket, and in fact it is possible to stack dishes up to 350mm in diameter. These extra height dishwashers have an upper basket with a 3-position facility. The diagrams show the variations of plate sizes that can be combined with the basket in each of the 3 positions, and of course the extra space in the lower basket can alternatively be used for large dishes or saucepans. The 86cm height allows a dishwasher of maximum capacity to be fitted into a standard 60cm appliance space in the kitchen.

An electronic infrared sensor in Smeg dishwashers measures the clarity of the incoming water from the tank. At pre-determined intervals the electronic board decides whether to continue with the pre-wash cycle or to move on to heat the water for the wash programme. Dishwashers with the Aquatest feature are able to keep consumption of water and energy to a minimum, depending on the degree of dirt AQUATEST on the dishes.
NEW SMEG DISHWASHERS DRYING SYSTEM
The new drying system works by re-circulating the hot air through the tank: the air is sucked out through 2 openings at the top of the tank and re-enters via a side opening. Accurate stacking of the crockery ensures the best air movement. As steam leaves the tank it is condensed and drained away, leaving no need for a vent outlet at plinth level.
TOTAL AQUASTOP SMEG DISHWASHERS
In addition to the standard Aquastop protection some Smeg dishwashers models have an electronic device fitted to the water intake hose, which monitors water levels in the machine, detects leaks in the hose and switches off the water supply immediately when necessary.
FLEXIBLE BASKETS
Maximum flexibility has been achieved by Smeg dishwashers innovative new basket designs. 45cm models have 2-position height adjustable upper baskets, and in standard size 60cm models the upper basket can be tilted, so that plates of up to 30cm diameter can be loaded in the lower basket.
TILTING MOVEMENT
The loaded basket can be simply tilted without removing it. EASY GLIDE UPPER BASKET RAILS
Ball bearing rollers on the upper basket rails of high specification machines ensure an exceptionally smooth movement of the basket, even when fully loaded.
NEW CUTLERY BASKETS
Smeg dishwashers have extra space to load cutlery in the upper baskets, either horizontally or vertically, in the specially designed racks This new feature gives additional capacity and guarantees better water distribution, improving the wash quality.
ATTRACTIVE BASKETS
All Smeg dishwashers baskets are protected with a coating of "Rilsan®" which ensures excellent durability.
Top of the range models have stainless steel baskets with the new easy glide movement, and others are in a smart graphite colour.
EASY INSTALLATION
To simplify the installation process Smeg dishwashers have an adjustable rear foot, which can be controlled from the front of the appliance, so that it can now be levelled whilst in its correct position. Built-in models can be firmly fixed to either the top or sides of the adjacent furniture.
